Stacy has been missing since 10/28/07, her family last heard from her around 10:00 am that morning when she was getting ready to go to a friend of the family's house to paint. When she didn't show the family started to worry, they began calling her cell phone with no response. After hours of not being able to contact her, her sister reported her missing to the Illinois State Police District 5. Stacy would not have ever left her children, her sister, her friends.

Stacy reached out to many in regards to her troubled marriage. Her Pastor, a Lawyer, her neighbor and good friend Sharon Bychowski, previous friends that she felt comfortable in her life, present friends, her sister's Foster Mother, Pam Bosco.  All of these people in the few weeks prior to her disappearance.  Stacy is loved by many.  It has been reported by the Illinois State Police that she has now become  a probable statistic of foul harm and most likely presumed dead.

Stacy had given birth to two beautiful children, Laci (named after her baby sister who died as an infant) and Anthony.  She also adopted the 2 minor children of Drew Peterson, Kris and Thomas. 




Stacy was only 17 years old when she met Drew Peterson and he was a 46 year old Sgt. on the Bolingbrook, Illinois police Department.  She felt safe with Drew due to his older age as well as his police status. She felt loved and protected. Her upbringing was very difficult with many losses in her life from her own mother who abandonded her family and histories of alcohol and drug use, the loss of her baby sister, Laci, the foster homes she lived in and the most recent passing of her beloved sister Tina, of cancer.  It's easy to see how one with such a troubled and sad past could find comfort in an older man who was supposed to protect her.

Her husband, Drew Peterson, claims he had nothing to do with Stacy's disappearance and that she "ran away". Anybody that loved and knew Stacy knew she would never have run away.  Stacy was Drew Peterson's 4th wife. His third wife, Kathleen Savio, died in a bathtub shortly after Drew and Stacy were married. Albeit he was divorced, the ongoing financial court hearings between Drew and his previous wife were still pending outcomes and resolutions in the court system. Her body was recently exhumed and her "accidental drowning" (in a bathtub with no water) has now been deemed a homicide.

Grand Jury hearings are ongoing.
